”NATO has confirmed the readiness and approval for further expansion of their activities. Bosnia and Herzegovina together with Macedonia and Montenegro is in the process of accession to NATO and all door of the Alliance are open”- said Miroslav Lajčak, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic
He also emphasized that there is total approval for further integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO. This was the conclusion of the meeting of the Ministerial Council that is being held during these two days in Brussels.
” On the other hand, NATO expressed their concern about the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina has lost nearly two years that were planed as the application period for MAP. Furthermore, some Ministers, including myself, emphasized the fact that the leaders of the ”six” had negotiated last week in Mostar and have put the admission to MAP as their top priority.”- said Lajčak
Other ministers have expressed hope that the effort of the ”six” will result with more success.
If the leaders of the political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina agree on several issues, then the Alliance would initiate the admission of B&H to MAP.
