Members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (INF-L-BNG) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH) completed a four-day exercise conducted for NATO assessment (NEL -1) according to the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept – Evaluation & Feedback Program (OCC E&F) on Friday at Combat Training Center in Manjaca.

The exercise was attended by three infantry troops, a logistics troop, an artillery battery, a combat support company, the Military Police Department, CIMIC and the HUMINT team with over 800 members of the Armed Forces of BiH.

The unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina has shown a high level of training and interoperability in accordance with NATO standards, which should ultimately result in a positive assessment from the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, which will be announced after 30 days.

According to the initial assessment, the Light Infantry Battalion Group successfully met the prescribed norms and standards.

“On this occasion, we emphasize the exceptional dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism of all members of the Light Infantry Battalion Group, as well as all those who supported them in various ways during the entire realization of this important event. As before, this time the Armed Forces of BiH confirmed the high level of responsibility, training and readiness to perform the tasks prescribed by law,” the Ministry of Defense of BiH stated in the press release on Friday.

With the successful implementation of the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept – Evaluation & Feedback Program (OCC E&F) exercise, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to develop the interoperability and operational capabilities of the declared AFBiH units for participation in peacebuilding and peacekeeping.
