At least five people are suspected of being connected to the liquidation of Sarajevo police officers Adis Sehovic and Davor Vujinovic on October 26th, 2018, in the Sarajevo settlement of Alipasino Polje.
The report was forwarded to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office
The names of the reported, with clear details about who are the perpetrators of this brutal murder, and who were the helpers, are stated in the supplement to the report of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs (MIA) of Canton Sarajevo (CS), which was forwarded to the CS Prosecutor’s Office on November 5th.
The first suspect, the car mafia man from Pale, Aleksandar Macan, who was not found at the address last week, is on the run and, an international red Interpol warrant will be issued for him. The competent court in Sarajevo is expected to announce and send it to Interpol for publication.
Sources claim that everything is up to the CS Prosecutor’s Office and that the whole case, which has been waiting for almost three years, can end very quickly. The names of some people have long been known to law enforcement.
Nusret Selimovic, the police commissioner of the MIA of CS, said the other day that for the purpose of the investigation he could not state exactly how many people were suspected, but he pointed out that, from the police aspect, the case was solved for them.
”Every detail is known. Everything is written in the report. I believe everything can be solved very quickly. The prosecution got everything and everything depends on how they will react, ” stated the source involved in the investigation.
SIPA also found two Kalashnikovs in Macan’s cottage. To recall,it was determined that Sarajevo police officers were killed with Kalashnikovs. However, the rifle was never found, except for one cartridge case on the spot.
Great help in locating the suspects, through at least three applications, was provided by foreign intelligence agencies, primarily from Germany, which located the number of one of the suspects, after which a mosaic began to be assembled.
The search of the apartment
SIPA recently searched the apartment of Macan’s wife in Pale, Marijana Savcic-Macan.
She is employed by the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), at the Pale Police Station. However, she was released, as were Drazen Ikanovic and another man.
Macan is the son-in-law of fugitive war crimes indictee Milomir Savcic.
