The company Eko Grad announced the status of the packaging collected so far at recycling machines in Sarajevo and Mostar.

“Thanks to the partners Cantonal Public Utility (KJKP) RAD, Cantonal Public Utility Park, Cantonal Public Utility GRAS, Public Institution for protected natural areas of Canton Sarajevo (CS), the CS Government, the CS Tourist Board, the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo and the City of Mostar, we have collected 426,000 packaging units over the past 10 months,” the company announced.

They point out that they are especially proud of the citizens who collected and recycled as many as 228,183 packaging units and chose the option of supporting the work of the association Pomozi.ba, which is more than half of the total number of recycled bottles.

When recycling, citizens also chose other benefits, including:

“By recycling bottles to the zoo” 52%

“By recycling to Vrelo Bosne” 11%

“By recycling to free driving” 27%

“Pay for parking with recycling” 9%

”Mostar Parking/Bus service” 1%

The company Eko grad noted that they are working with partners to provide additional benefits to citizens in the near future, but also to increase the number of recycling machines in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
