Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Karin Kneissl, will alsovisit Husein ef. Kavazovic, the Reis ul Ulema of the Islamic Community of BiH, during her visit to Sarajevo that will take place on Thursday and Friday.

The visit of Austrian Minister is expected with great attention in Sarajevo, since the relations between these two countries were quite disturbed in the recent period.

Der Standard from Vienna wrote that Austria has a reputation of a country that is spreading the anti-Muslim campaign and supports Serbian nationalists.

Austria is very important to BiH in every respect – economic, political, historical, demographic etc. The data of the Agency for Statistics published yesterday shows that most of the newest Austrian citizens who arrived last year, came from BiH.

In the light of the upcoming visit of Karin Kneissl, we should recall that the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy established the Islamic Community of BiH in 1882, which is now led by Husein ef. Kavazovic, the interlocutor of the Minister Kneissl.
