Autumn Colors Enchant Visitors At “Starry Night” Near Visoko

Nestled among the hills of Visoko, far from the city bustle, the Van Gogh-inspired complex, Starry Night Retreat, this autumn offers scenes that leave visitors breathless.

As nature changes its attire, this peaceful place becomes a true oasis for all who want to inhale the beauty of the moment. Known for its purple lavender fields that attract visitors in summer, the Retreat is magical even as temperatures drop.

In autumn, instead of lavender, attention is drawn to warm shades of yellow, red, and orange that envelop the entire landscape.

The small lake at the center of the Retreat, where colorful tree canopies are silently reflected, becomes the focal point of this natural spectacle, as guests from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH)come to enjoy walks and additional amenities.

Silence, fresh air, leaves underfoot, and a calming view make it the perfect place for an autumn escape. No crowds, no rush, just nature.

Starry Night Retreat interprets Van Gogh’s painting Starry Night through the landscape: networks of paths shaped like brushstrokes, lavender fields, and water surfaces create the recognizable swirls and lines of the painting in real-world topography.

It is a rare example of large-scale land art in which the natural terrain, plants, and water become material for an environment of stay, contemplation, and cultural events.

Notably, as part of the 15th Sarajevo Architecture Days, the Starry Night Retreat project from Luznica near Visoko won the Free & Wise award within the international Fresh&Bold Architecture Award recognition, Klix.ba writes.
