The end of the two-year project of the Foundation Mediacenter Sarajevo and Reuters Foundation in London under the title “Anti-corruption and media in BiH” will be celebrated on 31. January. There will be two awards (1,500 euros each) for the best news story by a BiH journalist on the theme of corruption.

The winners of the prize were Mirjana Popović from the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN) and Vladimir Bekić, a journalist from the Radio Television RS (RTRS).

The goal of the educational project, which was financed by the EU and was carried out by these two media companies, is to strengthen the capacity of BiH media in reporting on corruption through the further training of journalists in BiH from print, electronic and online media.

The trainings were organized and held by journalists-professionals from Reuters and BiH journalists, who trained journalists from London for this type of training.

All 40 journalists from media houses such as Al Jazzera, CIN, SRNA, ONASA, FENA, Radio Slobodna Evropa, Federalna RTV, RTRS, Slobodna Bosna and Glas Srpske had the opportunity to participate in the competition. They all also completed a five-day training.
