At the festive occasion on the 40th anniversary of the International League of Humanists, public interest organizations whose goals are peace and world unity, award last night in Sarajevo gold plaques for contribution to the mission of the League to Jasmina Pašalić, Zvonko Marić and Ratko Orozović.
Winner Ivica Šarić did not attend the ceremony, so his award will be given to him another time.
General Secretary of the League of Humanists Zdravko Šurlan said that all laureates spent a part of their lives devoted to peace and spreading culture of dialogue and promoting B&H as a country where peaceful coexistence on humane principles is possible.
‘’These are the builders of B&H’’, said Šurlan in his final speech at the ceremony.
The awards were presented by French Ambassador to B&H Roland Gilles, with the final message that we are all citizens of the world, mutually enriched with our differences.
Gilles is the sponsor of the marking of the 40th anniversary of the League of Humanists.
