Over 28 Thousand Pigs were eutanised in BiH

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the African swine fever virus was confirmed on 560 farms, while 28,784 pigs were euthanized.

In the Republika Srpska, the virus was confirmed on 463 farms, and 26,788 pigs were euthanized. In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the virus was confirmed on 30 farms, and 196 pigs were euthanized, while in the Brčko District, 67 farms were infected and 1,800 pigs were euthanized, according to the Veterinary Office of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, as of August 7.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska is organizing a meeting in Banja Luka today on the topic of suppression and eradication of African swine fever.

At the meeting, the solutions prepared by the Ministry with the aim of overcoming the current situation will be presented, it was announced from the line ministry.

The Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is continuously working on finding donor funds that can help in the fight against African swine fever, Fena news agency reports.
