Banja Luka to apply for the European Capital of Culture 2024

banjalukaMayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic announced that a draft decision on the candidacy of Banja Luka for the European Capital of Culture 2024 will be discussed on the next session of the City.

“I see this decision as a way to raise the level of culture in Banja Luka, for a more strategic approach to cultural events and cultural life and for the better cultural life,” said Radojicic.

Today the councilors adopted proposals for a program of co-financing cultural and artistic amateurism, literary creativity, programs and projects in the field of culture, tourism and the financing of sport and physical culture of the City of Banja Luka for 2017.

Support was given to the calendars of cultural, tourist and other manifestations of Banja Luka.
