The largest hotel brand in the world, Marriott International and the domestic company MMI Development Projects, signed a franchise agreement on opening the hotel ”Courtyard by Marriott” yesterday in Banja Luka. This is the first project of this kind in Banja Luka and Republika Srpska.

Mayor Igor Radojicic, who attended the signing of the contract, emphasized that this is really important day, because this city gets the worldwide brand in the hotel industry.

”By opening the hotel ‘Courtyard by Marriott’, Banja Luka becomes a member of this great community and gets its place on the world map of the largest hotel chain, and as such, we will be familiar to the large number of people. We are really interested in improving tourist offer  of our city. We are trying to bring tourists into our city, who need such accommodation , ” Radojicic said.

Director of MMI Development Projects, Nada Kuzmanovic, points out that ”Courtyard by Marriott” in Banja Luka, is a 4-star hotel in accordance with the world standards. The hotel is built in the center of Banja Luka, in the First Krajina Corps Street, and will offer a different approach to guests, adjusted to their requirements and needs.

”The official opening of the hotel is scheduled for May 1st 2019. The hotel will have 118 spacious, elegant and modernly equipped rooms, rooms for disabled people, multifunctional multimedia conference room with about 200 seats, restaurant with over 100 seats, reception desk, wellness, fitness room, underground garage and other facilities established by the strict standards of this hotel chain, ”  she stated.

On behalf of Marriott International, the contract was signed by Silvia Lovreta, Director of Development for South East Europe.

”Marriott International” is the world’s largest hotel brand, with more than 6.200 hotels in 125 countries, with a portfolio of 30 hotel brands, with over 1.2 million accommodation units and over 100 million members of the loyalty club. Marriott is a regional leader in a hotel industry, with hotels opened in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Zagreb, Skopje and other cities, and the progress of Banja Luka should certainly be accompanied by the development of hotel accommodation in the city, ” said Lovreta.
