Employees of the Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina confiscated a large amount of sports shoes worth about 200,000 BAM.

The ITA stated that the action was carried out by members of the Law Enforcement Section of the Regional Center of Tuzla, the Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Offenses, while carrying out checks on the origin of goods in shops in the Brcko District.

In three separate cases, based on intelligence information, they seized foreign origin goods without documentation of origin. These were renowned global sneakers brands (Adidas and Nike), a total of 2,573 pairs.

The perpetrators of the offense accepted responsibility and goods for which there was no proper documentation were permanently seized.
