Banja Luka Mayor turned off Water to Dodik, the Heating for the Police, made the Streets near the RS Government into pedestrian Zones

The city of Banja Luka, led by Draško Stanivuković, has decided to close the public parking lot next to the RS Government building and to turn off the public lighting around the RS Palace, which is also the seat of the entity president.

This move comes as an “austerity measure” after the announcement of the adoption of the RS Budget System Law, which will direct part of the funds that Banja Luka receives from VAT to underdeveloped municipalities in this entity.

“The roads leading to those institutions that are taking revenge on Banja Luka are in the dark and will remain so until they withdraw the shameful bill that reduces Banja Luka’s revenues intended for our children, the people of Banja Luka and the development of our city,” Stanivuković said.

The parking lot near the Republika Srpska Government building is closed and will not be accessible to those, according to Stanivuković, who are consciously working against Banja Luka with this law, as well as the streets leading to the RS Government.

“All roads leading to the Government building will be turned into pedestrian zones! Let the gentlemen get out of their tinted cars and walk. All republican institutions that have outstanding debts for water and heating have had their water disconnected as of today. The Presidential Palace had no water today,” he added.

Stanivuković says this is not his whim but “a clear response to their stepmotherly approach towards the largest city in Republika Srpska. We will tighten the measures day by day, until they withdraw the shameful law. That is all we are asking for!”, Klix.ba write.
