“Baščaršijske Noći” Festival Starts Tomorrow

SUTRA POÈINJE FESTIVAL BAŠÈARŠIJSKE NOÆI“Baščaršijske noći” (Baščaršija’s nights) festival will be held from 1 to 11 July, same as in the previous 19 years, under organization of Sarajevo Art.

The Director of Sarajevo Art Goran Rašić, President of the Festival organizing committee Dževad Šabanagić, President of the Sarajevo Art Ismeta Turović addressed the audience at the press conference organized on this occasion.

Šabanagić stated that this festival will fulfill the expectations of the audience although with modest means in disposal.

The exhibition of Merima Ivković at the gallery “Roman Petrović” is announced for tomorrow, as part of the festival opening, as well as the concert of the famous cellist Ana Rucner.

The official opening of the Festival will be held on 5 July, at the National Theater.

Sarajevo Philharmonic, Opera Choir of National Theater with musicians from Japan and other guests will perform at the festival official opening.

As part of the festival’s program are performances of the City Band Stolac, concert of ensemble Prijatelji, bands Protest, Zoster, Skroz, as well as Damir Imamović Sevdah Takht , Sevdi Mustafa Bend and others.

24 programs will be implemented this year.

The entrance to the most program contents is free of charge for visitors.
