dvoranaThe basketball match between Travnik Bosna Tours and Iskra from Bugojno marks the official opening of the Sports Center on Vlašić.

The position and the altitude of the Mountain Vlašić makes it one of the most desirable destinations for the preparation of athletes. Many great hotel facilities are there but the lack of a sports center has so far limited the arrival of sports teams and athletes.

“The sports center on Vlašić something of progress because we do not have many sports facilities on our mountains. I am sure that many sports team will use this center, not only teams from B&H but from the region as well”, said the former handball representative of B&H Edin Tahirović.

Jasmin Mrkonja from the cadet handball representation of B&H announced that athletes really wished to get a center like this and the quality of sports will be improved with this kind of infrastructure.

Mrkonja hopes that the cadet handball representation will prepare for the European Championship in this Center.

This sports center has a capacity of 3000 people and its dimensions respond to handball, volleyball, basketball and indoor soccer.
