At the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Sarajevo General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakas ”during yesterday, 18 babies were born, 10 girls and eight boys, which is a significant increase in births compared to the previous period.

At the same time, the number of examinations at the Cabinet has increased, where an average of 40 pregnant women are examined daily, Avaz news portal reports.

In the last few months, seven coronavirus-positive pregnant women have successfully given birth at this health facility, all of whom had a milder clinical picture. Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics was completely renovated last year, and new medical equipment was procured so that, in addition to educated staff, quality services are provided to future mothers and newborns in this health institution.

Also, pregnant women are offered the opportunity to choose alternative methods of childbirth as well as the presence of a spouse during the birth of a newborn.
