Becirovic: No one has the right to even think of discussing the division of BiH

“Peaceful disengagement” is a euphemism and means an attack on peace and the state, announced the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, reacting to the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional announcements from the Republika Srpska (RS) about the initiation of an agreement on the so-called peaceful separation of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina entities of RS will never have an interlocutor for “peaceful disunification” or any other “disunification” because no one has the right to even think of discussing the division and destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The state of Bosnia and Herzegovina was not created by “uniting” in Dayton. The continuity of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is precisely regulated by the provisions of international and national law. Bosnia and Herzegovina existed both before and after Dayton, and the entities did not even exist before Dayton and they cannot exist without it,” was stated in a statement from Bećirović’s cabinet.

The institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the international community have clear obligations regarding the protection of peace and constitutional order. All who attack the state will be defeated sooner or later. Proponents of anti-constitutional politics must know that overthrowing the constitutional order is punishable by long-term imprisonment, Bećirović also points out.

“No responsible official of Bosnia and Herzegovina may receive any paper about the so-called “agreement on the disassociation of the entities RS and FBiH”. Such a scandalous and anti-Dayton paper should not be answered by political officials. The competent judicial authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the high representative of the international community and other international factors that guarantee the Dayton Peace Agreement should respond adequately to it. We must remind the international and domestic public that whenever Slobodan Milošević, Radovan Karadžić and other Great Serbian protagonists used the terms ‘peaceful’ and ‘peace’, behind it they drew moves that were their opposite. That is why we must clearly explain that the phrase ‘peaceful disassociation’ is a euphemism that tries to soften a dangerous, destructive and criminal intention. The euphemism ‘peaceful disintegration’ essentially means: the destruction of the peace process and the endangerment of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region; violation of fundamental norms of international and national law; undermining the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina; the attempt to destroy a full member of the United Nations – the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the threat of new genocide and crimes against humanity,” states Bećirović.

On the side of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are legal, historical, moral, civilizational, economic, demographic and numerous other reasons, he emphasizes and adds that the legal reasons are reflected in the provisions of international and national law that protect the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and do not provide any legal arguments for breaking up our country.

”History teaches that Bosnia and Herzegovina survived after stormy and difficult centuries. It could not be destroyed even by much stronger factors than those that attack it today. Moral and civilizational reasons warn that it is inadmissible after the committed genocide, crimes against humanity and other crimes to even think about starting again the criminal project of destroying the multi-ethnic state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Economic reasons suggest that any separatist adventurism would have disastrous consequences for Bosnia and Herzegovina. the economy, businessmen, workers and generally the standard of living of citizens. Demographic arguments indicate to reasonable people that half of the country’s population has already fled the dangerous war-mongering policy. A new escalation of unreasonable behavior would lead to a complete demographic collapse, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina. to the RS entity,” warned Bećirović.

In the end, as he states, the separatists must know that Bosnian patriots and their allies will never, at any cost, allow the destruction of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to a statement from the office of Chairman Denis Bećirović.
