Becirovic said that the Construction of the Ski Center on Manjaca is illegal and called on Schmidt to react

Candidate for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and delegate in the state parliament, Denis Becirovic, spoke about the decision of the authorities in Republika Srpska (RS) to build a ski center on Manjaca together with the Jahorina Olympic Center.

3 days ago, the Government of the RS gave approval for the construction of this ski center near Mrkonjic Grad, which will require a total of 53 million BAM.

”The announcement by the authorities in the BiH entity RS about the construction of a ski center on Manjaca, on land owned by the state of BiH, is a direct violation of the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the decision of the High Representative in BiH. These two highest legal authorities in the country have clearly determined in their decisions that only the state of BiH can dispose of state property. The illegal decision of the authorities in the BiH entity RS represents the latest deliberate and brazen violation of the judgments of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the devaluing of the position and authority of the High Representative. This is only one decision that has come to light, and the question is what is the real scope of the criminal theft of state property at local levels as well,” Becirovic stated.

He also emphasized how the judiciary in BiH should deal with this.

”It is high time that the Office of the Attorney General of BiH starts doing its job and takes the necessary legal steps to prosecute those who violate state regulations and usurp state property of BiH,” he added.

He also called on the High Representative to sanction violations of the law.

”It is clear that since the appointment of the new high representative, the authorities in the BiH entity RS have been playing a game of testing the patience and power of the state and the high representative. In a game of political tug-of-war and overriding the highest state institutions, the authorities of the BiH entity RS pulled the strings to the end and brought the state to the red line. It is time for the high representative to stop this destructive and illegal activity of the entity authorities and finally sanction those responsible in the RS who violate the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution of BiH. I believe that following the example of the predecessors, all officials who violate the Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement should be banned from holding public positions. Only this measure can prevent further looting of the state. In the meantime, the Office of the Attorney General of BiH must urgently initiate proceedings and submit reports to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH against offenders,” Becirovic concluded, Klix.ba reports.
