Beginning of the new EU project to support the State and Entity Statistical Institutions in BiH

eu_flag_rf123All media are invited to cover the event organised to mark the beginning of the new EU funded Twinning project “Support to the State and Entity Statistical Institutions, phase VI”, which will take place on Friday,  28 November 2014, starting at 11:30hrs, in Hotel ‘Europe’ (Mezzanin conference room), Vladislava Skarića 5, in Sarajevo

This project is continuation of the EU support to the State and Entity Statistical Institutions in BiH, and it specially aims to harmonise BiH official statistics with European standards. It will seek to improve national account, financial account, statistical business register, structural business statistics, price indices on construction and services as well social protection statistics.

The event will be opened with welcome address by Severin Strohal, Head of Operations Section for Justice and Home Affairs, Public Administration Reform at the EU Delegation to BiH, Slavka Popovic, Deputy Director of the BiH Agency for Statistics, Radmila Cickovic, Director of the RS Institute for Statistics and Hidajeta Bajramovic, Director of the FBiH Institute for Statistics. Address by Ankica Kolobaric, Vice Governor of the BiH Central Bank and project presentation by Charlotte Juul Hansen, Twinning Project Leader and Soren Leth-Sorensen, Resident Twinning Advisor, will follow.

Media is invited to take statements before the event, at 11:00hrs and to cover the welcome addresses.
