One of the biggest US companies for the production and distribution of ammunition and ammunition components, Howell Munitions & Technology (HMT), wants to continue and expand cooperation with BH companies in the defense industry.
Owner and president of HMT, Dave C. Howell, said that HMT is present in BiH since the spring of 2013, when they started cooperation with Igman Konjic and Ginex Gorazde, and they are planning realization of cooperation with company Bekto Precisa from Gorazde, and the opening of the US market for this company.
Cooperation with the company Bekto, said Howell, involves the placement of their products in the United States.
“We are hoping to be representative of Bekto Precisa in the US,” said Howell.
He also hopes that this cooperation will affect the increase in the number of work places in partner BH companies, but also the companies that supply them and the places where these companies are located. For example, HMT has a contract with BH transport company DTS.
Howell noted that HMT wants to double the scope of the cooperation with BH companies, which could reach to 6 to 8 million USD a year.
HMT is a company specialized in commercial sports ammunition, and production of components for ammunition.
Howell will be one of the participants of the Transatlantic Economic Forum in Washington organized by the Center for Transatlantic Relations at SAIS at the Johns Hopkins University. The forum will gather representatives of business and political life of the 13 countries of the wider Mediterranean, including BiH, and co-organizer of the American Chamber of Commerce.
