The mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, will visit the municipality of Sokolac tomorrow, which will be his first official visit since taking office.

It is planned that Sapic will meet with the mayor of the municipality, Milovan Bjelica, who will inform him about infrastructure projects of importance for the cultural, sports and social life of Sokolac and the Romanian region, as well as about the formation of a free business zone, it was announced from the office of the mayor of the Sokolac municipality.

The Sokolac Municipal Administration stated that Sapic will visit the Military Memorial Cemetery “Mali Zejtinlik” and the Monastery of the Holy Great Martyr Georgi – Sokolica in Ravna Romanija.

Sapic said earlier that the goal of the official visit to Republika Srpska is to pay tribute to Serbian fighters and civilians who gave their lives for freedom and peace in these areas.

He stated that the visit to the Serbian local community in the RS represents the continuation of cooperation in numerous areas between the motherland of Serbia and the RS, the pursuit of peace and stability in the region and the preservation of the national identity of all Serbs.
