Spectacular diving at the iconic Bentbasa will once again revive the spirit of the city as Bentbasa Cliff Diving returns as one of the most recognizable brands of Sarajevo’s summer. This year’s competition is scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd.

Preparations for the 11th edition of cliff diving at Bentbasa are in full swing. The best divers from across the region and Europe are arriving in Sarajevo to showcase their incredible skills and precision in performing dives from a height of 19 meters.

“In the coming days, we face intensive work, the final arrangement of the location and technical preparations follow, as we have been doing with dedication for years. Every year, we try to raise the bar, both in terms of organization and sports, and this year will be no exception. Our goal is clear – for Bentbasa to shine once again this year and to show that Sarajevo has the capacity for events of this level. Admission to this event is free,” stated Dino Bajric, the most decorated Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) diver, on behalf of the organizing team.

“Bentbasa Cliff Diving,” just like last year, will be part of the “Summer Fest,” which will be held from July 30th to August 3rd at three attractive locations in Sarajevo – Bentbasa, Dariva, and the “Safet Zajko” park. The festival offers a rich and diverse program that combines sports, culture, and the city’s natural potential, and includes a music event, art performances, art workshops, a beach volleyball tournament, and educational and sports workshops.

From July 30th to 31st, the “Beach Volley Cup” will be held in the “Safet Zajko” park, in a 3-on-3 mixed male-female team format, for ages 16 to 28. The number of teams is limited, and applications are open until July 29th via the Fiesta Lama app or the Instagram profile “Summer Fest Sarajevo.”

Street art comes to Bentbasa on August 1st. Together with the team from “Obojena klapa,” Bentbasa will be transformed into an open-air studio – live mural painting, an exhibition, and workshops for all ages.

On Saturday, August 2nd, Bentbasa becomes a place of unforgettable fun! Under the open sky, by the river, and in a unique setting, you can expect a top-notch music event featuring performances by well-known regional and local DJs.

“As the grand finale, the 11th edition of ‘Bentbasa Cliff Diving’ will be held. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the “Summer Fest” and enjoy the rich program we have prepared for you,” Bajric concluded.

This year’s event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo (CS), the City of Sarajevo, the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, Visit Sarajevo, the Olympic Committee of BiH as a special partner, the Government of the Federation of BiH (FBiH), as well as numerous companies as sponsors and media, it was stated by Bentbasa Cliff Diving.
