The Council of Ministers of BiH yesterday adopted the Decision on Temporary Financing of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for the period January-March 2018 in the amount of 237.5 million BAM, as the proposal of Ministry of Finance and Treasury, it was confirmed by Finance and Treasury Minister, Vjekoslav Bevanda.

“For the financing of the institutions of BiH in the first quarter of 2018, funds amounting to 237.500.000 BAM are approved, which represent one quarter of the funds approved for financing the institutions of BiH in accordance with the Law on Budget of the Institutions and International Obligations of BiH for 2017, “ Bevanda explained.

He emphasized that according to the Law on Financing of Institutions of BiH there can be no delay in fulfilling obligations in the service of external debt and loan repayment needs be performed on a regular basis.

“From the professional side I can say that there is no and will be no interference in the financing of BiH institutions and doing regular activities, because we have saved and adopted the decision on temporary financing in time,” Bevanda pointed out.

He expects that the budget for the next year will be adopted at the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH with much more understanding and reasoning than it could be heard during past sessions in the BiH Parliament.

The budget of the BiH institutions was included on the agenda of the session at the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which was canceled on December 21st  this year, and its continuation is planned for January 17th next year.
