Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda met today in Sarajevo with the minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivan Mrkić.

Bevanda said that the bilateral relations between two countries are good and stable and he added that regional cooperation, integration in the EU and NATO are strategic goals of BiH.

He expressed the will to revitalize the Interstate Council for Cooperation so that both countries could achieve the same goals more easily – to become a member of the EU.

Mrkić said that he is satisfied with his visit to BiH, and that every success of Serbia’s neighbours is greeted with pleasure in Serbia.

During the meeting they said: ”We must draw the line, start working together and show the World that we are serious and mature. Because of that we must intensify our cooperation and ensure that members of the Council of Ministers of BiH and members of the Government of Serbia meet via modern electronic communications, at least twice a month. We must prepare the ground for future generations, and intensely work for present.”.

Bevanda and Mrkić noted that the signing of The Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of Serbia in the field of EU integration represent a new page in relations of the two countries.
