B&H basketball representation will gather tonight in Sarajevo, where they will start preparations for European Championship qualifications.
This is the first gathering of B&H basketball players after more than 9 and a half months and after the match with Lithuania, at the European Championship in Slovenia.
The coach of B&H representation Duško Ivanović, at the beginning of June, announced the list of 24 players invited for the preparations: Nemanja Gordić, DJ Cooper, Filip Adamović, Draško Knežević, Muhamed Pašalić, Zack Wright, Nihad Đedović, Marko Šutalo, Dalibor Peršić, Nemanja Mitrović, Nikola Gajić, Marko Jošilo, Adin Vrabac, Nedim Buza, Mirza Teletović, Miroslav Todić, Miralem Halilović, Emir Sulejmanović, Amar Alibegović, Elmedin Kikanović, Andrija Stipanović, Draško Albijanić and Jusuf Nurkić.
The captain of B&H representation will not attend the first part of the preparations because based on the rules of NBA league, he can not spend more than 45 days in the representation team. However, Teletović announced that tonight he will join the gathering in order to speak to the coach Duško Ivanović.
“I can not be with the team all the time due to the rules and I am very sorry for it. However, I will try to not be behind the co-players”, said Teletović, adding that he missed playing for B&H representation, after having played more than 90 matches last season in the NBA.
Nihad Đedović did not recover yet from the arm injury, but B&H basketball federation hopes that he will be ready until the start of qualifications.
Jusuf Nurkić is currently in USA and he will join the preparations after completion of European Championship with the representation up to 20 years. Nedim Buza, Adin Vrabac and Amar Alibegović are in the same situation.
Other players are supposed to be present at the Hotel Crystal, at 19:30.
