Members of the Border Police of BiH in Zvornik rescued an unknown person, who is supposedly a migrant, from drowning in Drina River.

Migrant attempted to swim across the Drina River from Serbia to Zvornik around 5 p.m, but members of the Border Police of Zvornik managed to take him out of the water and rescued him from certain death.

After taking him out of the water around one kilometre downstream from the old iron bridge, which connects Zvornik and Mali Zvornik over the Drina River, the migrant was transported to the Healthcare Center of Zvornik, where he received medical aid.

There was another person with a migrant, and it is unknown whether it was another migrant or someone who was helping him to reach the other side of the Drina River.

Members of Police Station Zvornik also came to the site.
