mlijekoThe current control of milk and dairy products in B&H is neither efficient nor effective, and B&H is not able to export milk to the EU, said in a report from the Office of Food Veterinary of the Directorate of the Department of Health and Care of Consumers of the European Commission, reports BH Radio 1.

‘’The poor control of products is affected by the lack of professional supervision. The quality of raw milk is very worrying. Only a handful of dairy producers comply with the criteria of the milk prescribed for the EU and due to this, the amount of raw milk produced in B&H cannot meet the standards of export to the EU’’, said in a EU report.

The control of livestock is very superficial and not reliable, and so is the certification process of dairy products, said in a report and added that false statements about the safety of milk has been noticed, announced BH Radio 1.
