Innovators from BiH enjoy a great reputation on the world stage of promotional technological creativity, and members of the Association of Innovators BiH (AIBIH) are winning medals in various innovation exhibitions for years.
“We presented our innovations for the first time in the fall of 1995 in Brussels and Nuremberg, during the negotiations in Dayton. Since then, we participated, on average, in about 10 cities each year, which means about 200 exhibitions in the period from 1995 to 2016,” said the Secretary General of AIBIH, Husein Hujic.
Remembering the “war” successes in Brussels and Nuremberg, he said that at the time in the Presidency was organized a reception for innovators-laureate from Sarajevo. These achievements, and membership in the International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA), were then evaluated as a new recognition of the state of BiH at the international level.
Hujic stated that the Union of Inventors of BiH (Association since 2003) was received in the IFIA three or four months after its establishment in 1994. Copies of the Statute of the Union on the English and French were sent to the IFIA in Geneva from the Presidency of BiH.
BiH, he stated, is the only country in the world which has three representatives in the leading organs of world innovation movement.
Talking on the number of awards in the period from 1995 to 2015, Hujic said that BH innovators won a total of 1,366 awards. They won 282 gold medals, 364 silver and 358 bronze medals, and they are also owners of 102 special awards.
When it comes to awards, Hujic especially mentioned medals from Moroccan King Hassan II, Pope John-Paul II, the World Organization for Intellectual Ownership, Russian Academy of Sciences, ministries of many countries…
Association until today has about 420 members in 68 cities in BiH, from Kladusa and Dubica to Neum and Trebinje, from Dinara to Sava River.
