BH Jazz Pianist Sinan Alimanović performed at a Concert in New York

sinan2B&H jazz pianist Sinan Alimanović, together with the greatest modern jazz musicians of the world, was preparing for a concert that was held last night in the Performance Hall of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, in New York.

Besides Sinan Alimanović, artists who also performed at the concert were: Alex Blake, a legendary double bassist honored for lifetime for his contribution to jazz (Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Fame and Museum), who also collaborated with great musicians and ensembles such as Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Barron, The Manhattan Transfer. Then, Randy Brecker, the winner of several Grammy music awards and a former member of the cult band Brecker Brothers, and Bobby Sanabria, a percussionist who played with Mongo Santamaria, Dizzy Gillespie, Paquito D’Rivera and many others.

The final rehearsal before the concert was held on the 26th of June in the Ultra Sound Rehearsal studio (New York’s Premier’s State of the Art).

Besides Sinan Alimanović, musicians from the United States, Chile, Israel, Germany, the UK and Turkey performed at the concert as well.

The Annual Jazz Gala Concert is organized by Made in New York Jazz Competition, where Alimanović was proclaimed as one of the top 5 jazz composers of the world in 2013.
