The company “Igman” Konjic recently hired 350 new workers for one year. These are simple jobs on machines and plants.

In the job posting, which was published on June 14th this year, the company was looking for 350 executors who will get fixed-term employment contracts, i.e. for one year. It is about the position of Worker for simple tasks (machine and plant operator), for which one of the conditions is to have completed at least four grades of elementary school.

No reason was given for the increase in the number of workers

The job posting did not state the reason for the increase in the number of employees by several hundred, and director Djahid Muratbegovic highlighted the general conditions and the necessary documentation for the application. After the competition procedure, 350 workers were hired, and the decision was signed by the director.

In April of this year, this company also announced a job competition for the employment of 24 people in the positions of plan, analysis, and cost control officer, financial accountant, security guard, procurement and tool control officer, machine adjuster, metal miller, locksmith, metal turner, test result processing officer, sleeve technologist and technologist for ammunition loading.

Military and hunting ammunition

Later, the holding of written and oral exams in connection with employment for these positions was suspended and resumed a month ago.

The company has existed since 1950 by the decision of Josip Broz Tito and today produces military and hunting ammunition of various calibers. “Igman” is majority owned by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Government (51 percent), and 49 percent is privately owned.

“Igman” currently employs more than 1.300 people, among whom are 700 women who work in less difficult jobs, that is, jobs that require precision and not great physical effort, Biznis Info reports.
