The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, spoke with the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Daniel Hunn, about the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the current political situation in our country and the region, and the relations between the two countries.

Bećirović expressed the hope that on March 21, the European Council will make a decision to open negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would further affect the implementation of fundamental reforms in our country. He said that it is important for all citizens and peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for further cooperation with all countries in Europe and the region.

Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation Daniel Hun emphasized that the Swiss Confederation supports Bosnia and Herzegovina on the way to the EU, reform processes in our country, political, economic and social development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is also confirmed by development cooperation programs.

During the conversation, Bećirović thanked for the engagement of the Swiss Confederation through the Cooperation Strategy with Bosnia and Herzegovina, considering that the Swiss Confederation, although not a member of the EU, supports our country on the way to EU integration and through a targeted methodology of development assistance in the field of public administration, health, economy and employment.

Bećirović and Hun stated that the relations between the two countries are traditionally very good and friendly, announced the Cabinet of BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović.

Switzerland of the Confederation, which supported the economic and social development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is one of the largest donors in our country in the past period (since 1996, it has invested more than 1.2 billion BAM).
