Lejla Cas – a Bosnian Woman who developed one of the most luxurious Beauty Brands in the U.S.

An idea, passion for what you do and persistence on the path you’ve set out on, is the energy that can turn any dream into reality. Lejla Cas, owner of the Knesko Skin brand, one of the largest and most luxurious cosmetic brands in the United States (U.S.) and beyond, can say a lot about that.

When she founded it together with her husband, Lejla, who is a reiki master, internationally licensed skin care specialist, esthetician and make-up artist, knew that she wanted to offer a product on the market that would provide a holistic approach to skin care and wellness, and that would combine nature and science.

Her Gemstone-Infused Collagen Hydrogel Masks for the face and eye area are made with proprietary GEMCLINICAL® technology, developed in collaboration with medical experts, and are a unique blend of minerals and gemstones with all-natural and pure skin care ingredients.

A blend of ancient wisdom, modern science and spiritual wellness

“Knesko is more than just a skincare brand; it is high vibrational skin care. What sets us apart is our unique blend of ancient wisdom, modern science and spiritual wellness. Our products not only provide visible results, but also promote inner balance and harmony, thanks to the infusion of gems and rivers of energy,” says Lejla and adds:

“Gems have been valued for centuries for their energetic properties and medicinal benefits. By incorporating their extracts into our formulations, we encourage a balance of energy flow, promote positivity and enhance the overall care experience.

Lejla was born in Bijeljina. Wartime events took the Caskovicfamily, like some other families, to a refugee address in distant Australia. Here, Lejla spent her youth, got an education, got a job in the profession she loved, but still decided to write a new life and business page on another continent. Her parents and brother, stayed in Perth, Western Australia, while she went to the U.S. because of an open business opportunity, where she would later start her own family.

Today she visits Australia, but not forgetting the years of her life spent on this distant continent, she opened her second company Knesko Australia Pty Ltd right there, which is the beginning of her future business plans related to presence on the Australian market.

My arrival in the U.S. in 2007

“My journey from Bijeljina to Australia and finally to the U.S.was driven by the search for a better future for our family, personal growth, opportunities and a passion for skin care and wellness. I moved to Los Angeles in 2007 after being in the beauty industry in Australia since 2000. Every step I took along the way shaped the vision and ethos of the brand and who I am as a founder today. I really want young women from Bosnia to know that anything is possible and to never doubt themselves. I am proud of my heritage and where I come from, because my experiences as a refugee and now as an independent entrepreneur have shaped me into the person I am today. Through suffering, deep pain and sadness, a lot of uncertainty and changes, a very strong and thoughtful leader emerged who cares about others,“ explained Lejla, who tries to instill in her daughters attachment to the country in which she was born.

“Bosnia holds a special place in my heart as my native country and source of rich cultural heritage. Although my journey has taken me to different parts of the world, I am deeply connected to the traditions, values and beauty of Bosnia. I really hope to buy a vacation home in Bosnia in the next few years and be able to visit more often and educate my children about the country I love so much. Who knows, one day you might be able to go to a luxury spa in Sarajevo and find Knesko Skin. That would be a dream come true. I am proud to be Bosnian and as a mother of two girls I want to teach them where their mom comes from,” told Lejla.

Collaboration with Hollywood stars

During her career as an esthetician and founder of a skincare brand, Lejla has collaborated with celebrities such as Kathy Hilton, Lisa Rinna and Kris Jenner, and even appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The brand is also loved by some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Halle Berry, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Madonna, Jessica Simpson, Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, and Ashley Graham among others, N1 reports.
