Through friends from Gorazde engaged in international organizations, Bosnian-Podrinje Canton (BPC) Gorazde will deliver sketches of small hydropower plants to Ukraine, which were installed on the Drina River during the siege of the city and were the only source of electricity supply to key institutions.
”We were contacted by the European Union (EU) to collect sketches of mini-power stations for the production of electricity that we made during the period of aggression against our homeland from 1992 to 1995 so that we could deliver those sketches to them, and they would pass them on to Ukraine. Given that the Ukrainian people are in a similar situation to what we were in in the 90’s we hope that in this way we will help them to build power plants in a similar way, which in a way have become a symbol of the resistance of the residents of Gorazde,” told BPC Gorazde Prime Minister Edin Culov.
