German intelligence services have identified a potential threat to the NATO base near the city of Geilenkirchen, which is located on the border of this country with the Netherlands.

Because of this information, NATO raised the level of security in this base, and in addition, they evacuated a large number of people.

The post on X’s social network did not clarify the nature of the threat, but noted that the missions are being carried out according to previous plans.

This is the second threat directed at NATO bases in Germany. A few weeks ago, a base near Cologne was also in danger, and at the time information said that the water source was contaminated, although this has not been proven.

In addition, judicial authorities in Germany are investigating potential espionage and planned sabotage, but no further information on these cases has yet been released.
