The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today’s session, adopted the budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and international obligations for 2026 in the amount of 1.58 billion BAM – it was confirmed to Fena.

As previously proposed by the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, the largest part of the budget goes to current expenditures, namely 1.43 billion BAM.

Gross salaries and benefits of employees have increased compared to last year by almost 98 million BAM and amount to 956 million BAM. The reason is the increase in the base for calculating salaries to 690.86 BAM, which will follow after the adoption of the budget.

The budget states that the key priorities are EU integration, the implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, NATO activities, financing the General Elections, but also improving the material status of employees in state institutions.
