The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina received today the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a warrant for the suspect Zoran Galić, it was said in this court.

After today’s request from the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina should make a decision soon.

The Deputy Director of the Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA) Zoran Galić, according to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, fled to Croatia last month in order to avoid arrest based on the investigation of the “Sky” case and suspicion of corruption.

According to the procedure, the judiciary of Croatia should decide on the possible extradition of Galić BiH, and the extradition request should be sent to Croatia through the Ministry of Justice in the Council of Ministers.

Galić recently submitted a request for dismissal from office and has submitted a request for retirement.

Galić is suspected of receiving a gift and abuse of position while he was director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After receiving information that his arrest was being prepared, Galić illegally crossed the BiH border at the beginning of July and fled to Croatia, where he is now, while informing SIPA that he was on sick leave and receiving treatment in Croatia.
