Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said the “axis of resistance” response to Israel’s killing of the organization’s commander, Fuad Shukra, will be stronger than before.
He pointed out that Hezbollah cannot be expected to react to the killing of Shukra in the same way as after the attacks carried out by the Israeli army against other commanders of the organization in the past months.
“We did not ask for escalation until now, we fought to support Gaza, but keeping in mind the Lebanese national interest,” Nasrallah said.
He pointed out that every time one of the commanders of Hezbollah was killed, the response was stronger, but always measured.
“However, the attack on the top commander in Dahiya (Hezbollah’s stronghold in southern Beirut) must be treated differently. Our response comes, God willing, from us and the axis of resistance and it will be strong,” Nasrallah said.
