In the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week, the sentencing of Rade Grujić, who is accused of war crimes committed in Liplje near Zvornik in 1992, is scheduled.
Grujić is accused of raping a Bosniak woman in Liplje, where a large number of Bosniak civilians were detained, as a member of the Snagovo Territorial Defense Company Zvornik, and the sentencing is scheduled for Friday, February 23.
The day before, the closing arguments of the defense at the trial of Zijad Srabović, Refik Morankić, Ahmet Bajrić, Abid Arapčić, Pašaga Čajić, Samir Džambić and Mirsad Žilić, accused of inhuman treatment, torture and murder of civilians in schools in Lukavac and the “Slaughterhouse” facility in Modrac was committed from June to October 1992.
According to the indictment, Srabović was the assistant commander for security at the Territorial Defense Headquarters in Lukavac, Morankić was the commander of “Fika’s unit” and the Croatian Defense Council in Modrac, and the other accused were members of that unit or military policemen.
The hearing of the first witness at the trial of thirteen former commanders and members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina for crimes committed in the area of Foča, Višegrad and Čajniče is scheduled for February 20.
The indictment charges Ferid Buljubasic, Ahmet Sejdić, Rašid Soba, Ševka Glušac, Zakir Jamak, Bahrudin Muhić, Adem Fehrić, Mustafa Polja, Enver Kustura, Muhamed Lisk, Sakib Čakar, Izet Sejdić and Munir Nala for the crimes in Jošanica, where 56 civilians were killed of Serbian nationality, around ten people were wounded, and houses, property, agricultural and ancillary facilities were set on fire and destroyed. Ahmet Sejdić is charged with a crime committed in the Višegrad area, and Buljubasic for a crime in the Čajnič area.
Next week, trials continue for crimes committed in Derventa, Goražde, Bosanska Krupa, Kotor-Varoš, Prijedor, Bijeljina, Doboj, Visoko, Sarajevo, Skender-Vakuf, Travnik, Sarajevo and Vlasenica.
