Former High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Secretary General of the Club of Madrid Carlos Westendorp believes that BiH deserves a better position in the world and a lot more respect.

In an exclusive interview to Anadolu Agency, Westendorp said that BiH will be united, prosperous and democratic country.

‘’That will happen, because the people of BiH, after all they went through, deserve it’’, said Westendorp.

He called on political leaders in the country to unite around common interests of the citizens of BiH.

‘’My appeal to the leaders of BiH is to keep the unity of the country. Unified country and a unified economic area are key for survival and progress of BiH’’, said Westendorp in an interview to Anadolu Agency.

As a Secretary General of the Club of Madrid,  a club of former world leaders, presidents and prime ministers, Westendorp said that more than 90 former heads of state and government is ready to help BiH.

‘’ We are all at disposal to people of BiH and to authorities of BiH. If they want any action from us, we’ll be there. We are ready and willing to do something for you’’, said Westendorp in the name of The Club of Madrid.
