BIH establishes Body for Supervision of the Strategy for the Prevention of the Proliferation of WMD

Temporary body for supervision of the implementation of the Strategy for the Prevention of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction of BiH, which will have a total of 15 members, was founded by the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The main tasks of this body will be ensuring and supervising the development of action plans for the implementation of the strategy, the process of coordination of the implementation of activities established by the strategy and action plans, proposing the revision of the strategy and action plans according to the needs and submitting the annual and final report on the implementation of the strategy to the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The first meeting of the Body for Supervision will be organized by the Council of Ministers of BiH within 30 days from the date of the adoption of this decision and they will adopt the Rules of Procedure at their first meeting. The mandate of this body is related to the period of validity of the strategy, i.e. until December 31, 2022.

The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the decision on the establishment of this body at its 145th session, which was held on June 5, 2018. The decision was signed by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic.
