BiH FM attends the Ministerial Meeting of the initiative Platform for Peace in the Balkans

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, will participate today in Istanbul in the Second Ministerial Meeting of the regional initiative “Platform for Peace in the Balkans” (BPP), at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan.

The Platform for Peace in the Balkans (BPP) was launched in 2025 at the initiative of the Republic of Turkey, with the intention of contributing to the strengthening of peace, stability and prosperity through political dialogue and regional cooperation. The first meeting was held in Istanbul in July 2025, which established the framework for continuous talks between the Balkan countries.

The second ministerial meeting, which will be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, brings together the ministers of foreign affairs of the Balkan countries with the aim of deepening the dialogue and exchanging opinions on current regional and global challenges.

On the sidelines of the event, Konaković will also hold a series of bilateral meetings with colleagues from the region and the hosts, where issues of mutual interest will be discussed, it was announced from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
