During his official visit to the Republic of Croatia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković also met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković.
Plenković welcomed Konaković, and congratulated the ruling parties in BiH for the fastest establishment of the Council of Ministers at a time when few expected it.
Minister Konaković pointed out that the encouraging messages coming from Croatia are that walls and fortresses will not be built towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that there is an indication of a new era in the relations between the parties and states of the region.
Plenković drew attention to the European elections scheduled for next year, and pointed out that this year is crucial for the rapid turnaround of the image that Bosnia and Herzegovina has in European circles.
He called for cooperation and pointed out that this year should be used as an opportunity for positive changes.
During the meeting, Konaković also said that he is aware of the complexity of the important topics that need to be discussed, and without disputing the importance of the relationship between these two countries, the internal and external policy of our country should be conducted in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that the issue of electoral legislation and amending the constitution is exclusively the internal issue of BiH that needs to be resolved was announced by the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
