The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met with the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Parliamentary Relations of the Kingdom of Spain, Felix Bolanos Garcia.

Konaković welcomed the guest and expressed his satisfaction with the cordial and friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Spain, as well as with the constant politically correct dialogue and positive developments in the cooperation between the two countries.

Garcia thanked Konaković for the cordial welcome. He expressed his support for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to EU membership, emphasizing that Spain is a country that supports Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He emphasized that the Kingdom of Spain is monitoring the security situation and political processes in BiH, providing full support to legal processes and resolving the current political crisis, and is ready to assist BiH in its integration processes.

Konaković spoke about the challenges that Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing and the importance that the integration process has for the state and citizens of BiH, about the behavior of the ruling structure in Republika Srpska, which, by blocking integration processes and creating political problems, is questioning security, economic, demographic and all other processes in the country, but also in the region.

He reiterated that for BiH, the perspective offered by the European Union is the only and best solution for the progress of the country as a whole through the advancement of state institutions, the development of all branches of the economy and the maintenance of good and friendly relations with neighboring and all friendly countries, and that work continues in BiH to intensify efforts that will lead to setting a date for the first EU-BiH Intergovernmental Conference and the start of the negotiations themselves, the BiH MFA announced.
