The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, paid tribute today by laying flowers on the grave of Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić with his wife and daughter on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of his death.

On that occasion, it was pointed out that Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić remains one of the most significant figures in the political and diplomatic activity of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the war years, whose name is permanently associated with the struggle for international affirmation and preservation of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in one of the most difficult periods of its history.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Ljubijankić played an important role in international activities aimed at the affirmation and recognition of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the interests of the state before the international community at a time when its sovereignty, territorial integrity and right to exist were being defended. dr. Ljubijankić was an advocate of a modern, integral and civil Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on equal rights, freedoms and dignity of all its citizens, regardless of national or religious affiliation.

Minister Konaković pointed out that his work and the values he represented remain a permanent inspiration and obligation in building a democratic, European and multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina.
