The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina spoke out after German officials announced that the Russian intelligence service was behind the attack at the airport in Leipzig on August 4.
As they pointed out in the announcement, full support was provided to Germany.
“We express full solidarity with Germany, its government and its citizens following the attempted drone attack in Leipzig. This incident comes amid a wider campaign of Russian hybrid activities and disinformation aimed at undermining European security and stability,” it said.
It was emphasized that our country also has experience with Russian hybrid attacks.
“Bosnia and Herzegovina knows first hand what consequences malignant Russian interference can have. Europe must remain united, strengthen its resilience and resolutely respond to every attempt at destabilization,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH.
Let us remind you that the Minister of the Interior of Germany, Alexander Dobrindt, stated that Russia was responsible for the attempted drone attack at the airport in Leipzig.
During the press conference, the minister said that police investigations and intelligence findings and the pattern of the attack confirm Russian responsibility for the attempted attack on this German airport.
“The German government therefore concludes that Russia is responsible for the hybrid attack in Leipzig on August 4,” the minister said.
