”Non-governmental organization ‘Your Rights’ will also participate in the project, which is a long-year partner of the BiH Ministry of Security. They witnessed the best practices in human rights protection,” emphasized Dautbašić.

Deputy Head of Embassy of Kingdom of Holland to BiH Loes Lammerts said that according to Progress Report of the European Commission from 2013 “BiH has made progress in area of counseling policy, border management, asylum and migrations” and that the current system of migration, asylum and international prediction in BiH is working.

”Therefore, the Dutch Government wants to commend authorities of BiH, especially Ministry of Security for their further preparation for future challenges and changes in area of migration”, said Lammerts.

She added the project was funded from Matra CoPROL budget, which has the aim to finance transformation of societies into plural democratic societies led by rule of law.

Project Manager from Center for International Legal Cooperation from Holland Lino Brosius said that project is focused on increasing the access to fair and efficient asylum procedure for asylum seekers and migration in BiH and better treatment of legal and illegal migrants in BiH.

”We will carry out different activities during the next 20 months so we expect strengthening capacity of bodies of authorities competent for migrations in BiH. We will present ‘a chain approach’ to issues of asylum and migration, which means that relevant bodies of authority will work with non-governmental organizations and we hope we will also initiate a regional approach to certain topics related to asylum and migrations,” explained Brosius.
