The support that Germany provides to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina is reflected in the investment for projects to restore facilities and infrastructure, as well as the procurement of new uniforms.
The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, visited Boris Pistorius, the Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Numerous joint projects were agreed upon at the meetings, but the main topic of the meeting was the implementation of the 11 agreed projects of assistance to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“In the period of 2024-2025 alone, FR Germany is planned to support a total of 11 projects on the infrastructure facilities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total value of the donation is estimated at 7,240,000 euros,” wrote Helez on his Facebook profile.
On his Facebook profile, Minister Helez shared his impressions from the meeting with his German colleague, stating, among other things, that the procurement of anti-aircraft defense was agreed with the German side.
It was not specified in detail which systems we are talking about, but considering the announcements of Minister Helez, it is likely that it is about the assistance of the Federal Republic of Germany in the efforts of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the procurement of primary radars.
Germany is one of the leading countries in terms of support for infrastructural projects for the reconstruction of the facilities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with significant support for the procurement of new uniforms for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
