BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Invites Businesspeople from Saudi Arabia To Continue Investments

The Deputy Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers and the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija spoke with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to BiH Eid Mohammed A. Althakafij.

It was estimated that the political relations of BiH and Saudi Arabia are extraordinary, and that there is an important space for improving cooperation in other areas, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.

Lagumdžija expressed his opinion that with the goal of enhancing cooperation between the two friendly countries, it is necessary to intensify meetings with businesspeople and to continue with international agreements.

In this regard, he expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and other relevant BiH institutions to initiate and organize meetings of businesspeople from BiH and Saudi Arabia, and said that he hopes the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and other agreements that are in their various stages would be signed.

Lagumdžija particularly expressed the importance of direct foreign investments for business in BiH and invited representatives of Saudi funds and businessmen of this country to continue to invest in BiH, for which there are various opportunities in a number of economic fields.

At the meeting they expressed their support for their position in international organizations, and spoke about the situation in the Middle East and in North Africa.
