Based on the conclusions of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the engagement of the resources of the Armed Forces of BiH (OSBiH) to help the Republic of Turkey, due to the consequences of the catastrophic earthquake, and in accordance with the request of the Euro-Atlantic Center for Coordination of Responses in the Case of Natural Disasters (NATO EADRCC), the Ministry of Defense and the BiH Armed Forces provided humanitarian aid to the vulnerable population of the Republic of Turkey.

Today, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in BiH, the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized the transport of donated equipment from the Sarajevo International Airport to the vulnerable areas of the Republic of Turkey.

On this occasion, the commander of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier Ernes Heleg, pointed out that this command, in accordance with the guidelines and orders of the superior command, is conducting further activities to provide additional forms of assistance to the vulnerable population of the Republic of Turkey.

This, as he said, is reflected in the readiness of medical teams for referrals, the organization of voluntary blood donation, and the consideration of the possibility of assigning other resources to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina to help the vulnerable population of the Republic of Turkey, along with the regular functioning of logistical support for the mission and tasks of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the PR Office of the Ministry.
