The Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sevlid Hurtić, met today with the director of ICMP’s program for Europe, Matthew Holliday, with whom he discussed concrete steps in the coming period that should contribute to better functioning of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Hurtić expressed his gratitude for the support and work of the ICMP in Bosnia and Herzegovina because the engagement of the International Commission for Missing Persons has had a significant impact on the process of searching for missing persons, as well as on the identification of the found remains.

The important role of the ICMP when it comes to the Institute for Missing Persons was also highlighted, given that this commission, together with our country, is a co-founder of the Institute.

Also, it was especially emphasized that all competent institutions and organizations must make even more efforts in the coming period, in order to speed up the process of searching for around 7,000 still missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
